On July 6th this year, at the 36th ceremony where the best institutions in the region and Europe were announced, the award for the best private university was presented in Sarajevo, based on the decision of the European Independent Agency,

In the competition of 47 universities from the region and Europe, this prestigious award was granted to our oldest and largest private university – ‘John Naisbitt’ University.

 Stipe Mesić, a former president of the Presidency of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, awarded the prize to prof. Mica Jovanovic, PhD, the founder and owner of the university in front of several hundred officials from all over Europe, including Bakir Izetbegović, member of the Presidency of BiH, Zoran Zaev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, several members of the Bundestag, famous entrepreneurs from France, Poland, Serbia and other countries.

In the explanation of the award, it says that the award has been granted ‘for outstanding contribution to the development of higher education in the region, Europe and the world’.
